DIY CARDBOARD SPACESHIP

On the weekend I posted on my social media pages about a cardboard spaceship costume the kids and I made using an umbrella, some cardboard and Makedo screws. Since then I have had so many enquiries from people who want to make the cardboard spaceship for halloween. I decided to do a quick post about how easy it was to put together with dimensions and links.

What you need for the costume:

Steps:

  • Using single walled cardboard cut out 8 panels (using the dimensions in the below diagram).

  • Score the panels where the dotted lines are indicated.

  • Punch holes along the side as indicated below (using the provided tool by Makedo)

  • Join the panels together with the Makedo screws (using the provided tool by Makedo)

  • Place over the open umbrella and secure with clear tape.

Easy as that!
